CROCHET FOR A CAUSE
Monday, Jan 9 @7pm | MJE West
Ever wanted to learn how to crochet or knit, or already know how to but need some structure to inspire your hobby? MJE West is fusing crochet and knitting enthusiasts of any level with a social activist cause to benefit the Jewish community of NY. Meet new people, pick up a new hobby, and donate your finished project to those in need this winter.
A 2013 report on poverty by UJA-Federation of New York in partnership with the Met Council, found that 565,000 New Yorkers live in Jewish households below or near the federal poverty line.

Together let’s crochet for a cause.
MJE West Director Atara Neuer will be teaching crochet to beginners- either a pom pom hat or an eternity scarf. If you would like to teach knitting or know someone who might like to volunteer their skill please contact atara@jewishexperience.org
The initiative kicks off January 9@ 7 pm and is followed by light dinner and wine with yjp atendees from Steve Eisenberg’s JICNY Torah class and Rabbi Wilde’s MJE class.
